On Tuesday, November 22, six FLOC Scholars, one sibling and one staff member participated in Food & Friends’ Slice of Life Thanksgiving service event.
David, a hard-working sophomore in his third year in the Scholars Program and Neighborhood Tutoring Program, has many plans for the future—among them to learn French and Chinese and become quadrilingual.

FLOC students are now on their way to creating their very own libraries with the books they hand-picked at our 5th Annual Book Festival this past Saturday, November 12th.
We are soaring this school year at FLOC! From enrollment to student achievement to capacity building, FLOC is busy celebrating many wins.

The Scholars Program is beginning its fourth week.

Thanks to everyone who participated in our summer programs! It was a fun summer full of reading and math tutoring, SAT/ACT prep classes, career shadowing, visits to the Outdoor Education Center, and more.
