Happy first day of fall! Yesterday, FLOC held its first day of fall programs and it was SO GOOD to see our students and volunteers back together again. We can already tell this year is going to be great, and we can’t wait to see everything out students accomplish over the next couple of months.
Thank you to everyone who came out on September 11th for the Back-to-School FLOCfest Open House and Packet Pick-Up. We got to see longtime FLOC students in person again, introduce ourselves to new families, and even signed some new students up! Everyone had a great time learning about FLOC, getting crafty, and playing games! We also want to give a HUGE shoutout to Code 3 for providing food and bringing extra school supplies to give out to our students. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to the year.
It might only be September, but FLOC is already gearing up for the 15th Annual Book Festival in November. We want YOU to be a part of this year’s Virtual Book Festival. Read a story from our featured book, “Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls: 100 Real-Life Tales of Black Girl Magic” or tell us a story about a woman who is magic in your life.
