Meet Mary!

FLOC is so excited to announce our new Director of Development, Mary Bramley! 

Mary Bramley has worked for a decade in higher education with the last four years in foundation and advancement services. She began her career at Virginia Commonwealth University in undergraduate research programs where she helped place students from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds in research internships in Richmond, VA and across the country. Staying at VCU, she also went on to work in Student Programming and Conference Services.

In 2015, Mary moved back home to Northern Virginia to work at Northern Virginia Community College in their Educational Foundation. She worked with alumni and fundraised for scholarships and other major college projects. She eventually moved on to Destinations International Foundation where she spent a year as their Senior Manager of Foundation Development. She has a BA in History from George Mason University and a M.Ed in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs from the University of Southern California.

Mary is excited to be a part of the team and help FLOC continue to transform the lives of its students.

Three Fun Facts About Mary:

  1. Mary has played the viola for almost 26 years. Not well.
  2. Mary has a black cat named Poe Boy, who loves to wear bow ties.
  3. Mary loves the NFL, especially the Washington Football Team, and PAC-12 College football, specifically USC.
