May 1st marked College Acceptance day for our high school seniors and we could not be more proud of the hard work and dedication they have demonstrated over this past year. We can’t wait to watch them embark on the next chapter of their lives. Congrats Class of 2021!
In honor of Earth Day, FLOC students spent last month learning about the environment and talking about the Earth. Students worked together to choose an environmental issue they were passionate about and then talked within their groups about what kinds of solutions there were for it. They also played a Recycling Art game (pictured) where students gathered objects their families were no longer using to make art or make inventions!
JBG SMITH CLP Update
May 4th was Teacher Appreciation Day, and CLP student Joshua did not forget! Joshua wrote a letter to his favorite teachers thanking them for all they had done. Joshua said that he formed a tight bond with several teachers who have helped him throughout his freshman and sophomore year. He appreciates all of the time and effort his teachers put into his education because he knows it will “do him great later on in the future.”
FLOC has something big up our sleeves and we can’t wait to tell you what it is…but until then YOU can help us announce it! Ask your child if they could change the world, how would they change it and why? You can submit your answers here or send a video of your child answering to firstname.lastname@example.org. Your response might just be featured in our big announcement!
