FLOC’s Outdoor Education Center in Harpers Ferry, WV offers students experiential education opportunities that grow students’ persistence, teamwork, and adaptability skills in a new environment and helps them learn how to apply these skills for success in college. Every summer, students from DC and West Virginia are invited to participate in a series of free residential summer camps at the OEC. These camps build team-based skills and encourage self-awareness through activities like ropes courses, rock climbing, canoeing and hiking at the 350-acre facility. During the school year, the OEC offers a dynamic afterschool program for students from Charles Town and Harpers Ferry middle schools.
Challenge yourself physically and raise funds to help teach, empower and transform low-income students from DC and West Virginia. If you are part of a hiking group please share this opportunity with your fellow group members!
