Don’t miss FLOC’s Virtual Book Festival on Friday, November 12th. During this pre-recorded event, our special guest and Mother of #BlackGirlMagic, CaShawn Thompson sits down with FLOC Executive Director Brandelyn Anderson to talk all about her new book Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls: 100 Real-Life Tales of Black Girl Magic, how she created #BlackGirlMagic, and her special connection to FLOC! The video will also feature FLOC staff, students, volunteers, and more as they share women who are magical in their life or read chapters from CaShawn’s book. The virtual book festival will premiere on FLOC’s social media Friday, November 12th at 12:00 pm.
Then, join us on Saturday, November 12th for FLOC’s In-Person Book Pickup from 12:30-2:30 pm. CaShawn will be there to sign copies of her book for FLOC students! Each student will receive a FREE signed copy of the book along with the 10 books they picked out. Books MUST be picked up in person.
