This April, our annual fundraising is going virtual and we are hosting four experiential events. We want to show our appreciation to all the incredible teachers in the District by inviting you to one of our events. - SOLD OUT! April 8- Virtual Mixology with Get Mixed by Kay! Just because we can’t go to Happy Hour right now doesn’t mean we can’t bring Happy Hour to you! Whether you’re looking to enhance your bartending skills or simply looking for a fun way to spend your evening, Getting Mixed by Kay! is an experience you won’t regret. In this Zoom Session, you will get a cocktail kit that includes rum, tequila and vodka, shakers, muddler, strainer, jigger, fruit juices/soda, and 6-8 recipes!
- SOLD OUT!April 15- Paint & Sip with Kristen and Creative Grounds DC Let’s get ready for art class. No experience necessary to paint your newest masterpiece! All registrants will get everything they need for painting- a canvas, brushes, paints, and a FLOC apron. In addition, every ticket sold will receive a bottle La Fête, a premium rosé wine. All proceeds from each bottle go to various programs that send underserved & underrepresented youth on unique travel experiences, helping them develop new skill sets and grow as global citizens.

April 22- Cook with Chefleen: Get chopping with the winner of Food Network’s Chopped, Chef Kathleen O’Brien Price At this event, you’ll get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn how to cook from one of the best! In this two-hour Zoom session, Chefleen will guide you through a delicious dinner recipe the whole family will enjoy. So purchase your tickets today and let’s get chopping! Included with the ticket is 4 all-beef half-smokes from Ben’s Chili Bowl, the recipe to follow along with, and a FLOC Apron.
- SOLD OUT! April 29: Cookie Decorating Like a Boss with Shena Jefferson of Jefferson Bakes Want to learn how to decorate professional-looking cookies? Whether you have decorated cookies before or this is your first time, this event will show you how to decorate your cookie like a boss. Attendees for this virtual event will receive a cookie decorating kit for three cookies and icing along with instructions on how to ice the perfect cookie.
