FLOC’s Virtual Book Festival

October is National Book Reading Month and FLOC is hosting its annual book festival on Friday, October 30th to celebrate!

FLOC’s Annual Book Festival is an opportunity for students and their families to celebrate and promote the importance of reading and literacy. During the Festival, FLOC students get to pick books to take home, and we are proud to provide those books free of charge.

Research by the NCES has shown there is a positive correlation between the number of books a child has at home and academic achievement among low-income students. In past years, FLOC has handed out over 500 books. This year, we commit to handing out 1,000. That’s 10 books per child! With the help of our dedicated supporters, we know we can reach this goal. You can make a donation today or visit our Amazon Wishlist below to purchase books directly for our Students.
