Cooke Elementary School<\/a>. He is in first grade. At\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forloveofchildren.wordpress.com\/2014\/05\/22\/meet-juel-and-julian\/floc.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FLOC<\/a>, Juel goes to the Tuesday Night Reading program\u00a0and has been at FLOC since October 2013.<\/p>\n<p>In his free time, Juel likes to play soccer with his friends and build Legos. Before tutoring, in the student room, he likes to play Jenga with his brother Julian. Juel\u2019s favorite subjects in school are gym and math.<\/p>\n<p>Juel is a very energetic child, and never fails to provide FLOC staff, tutors, and his fellow students with a laugh. When I asked him what he thinks his brother should be when he grows up he said \u201ca rock star!\u201d When Juel grows up, he wants to be Iron Man from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/marvel.com\/universe\/Avengers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marvel\u2019s Avengers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This year in school, Juel hopes to do better in reading in school and reach grade level.\u00a0Juel enjoys coming in every week with his brother. You can always see them playing together in the FLOC student room before tutoring starts.<\/p>\n<p>Julian, 8, is in the second grade and also attends H.D. Cooke Elementary School. In his free time, Julian likes to go outside, play with his friends, play Uno, and relax. Julian and his brother Juel are big fans of the Marvel\u2019s Avengers. Julian told me he doesn\u2019t know what he wants to be when he grows up just yet.<\/p>\n<p>Julian\u2019s favorite part of coming to FLOC is \u201clearning new things\u201d and \u201chaving fun\u201d with his tutor Rebecca.
