Our 7th Annual Book Festival took place at the Pepco Edison Place Gallery on Saturday November 16th. Over 130 people attended the event including FLOC students, volunteers, parents, and board members. On Thursday, October 17th, the DC Alliance of Youth Advocates (DCAYA) and the Afterschool Alliance hosted the 12th annual Lights On Afterschool, an event celebrated nationwide to call attention to the importance of afterschool programs for America’s children.
